Stephanie is available to visit schools across Saskatchewan to deliver presentations on impaired driving prevention and to help students, teachers, and administrators set up a new SADD chapter at their school. If you'd like Stephanie to come to your school, reach out through the provincial office.

Jenny supports the day-to-day delivery of SADD Saskatchewan's provincial programs, assisting with chapter communications, event coordination, and administrative operations out of the Regina office.

Tyler oversees SADD Saskatchewan's technical infrastructure, including the website, digital resources, and technology systems that support provincial programs and chapter operations.

The Executive

The Provincial Executive consists of the President, Past President, and two Vice-Presidents. Executive members sit on both the Board of Directors and the Board of Representatives.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is responsible for approving the annual operating budget, staff decisions, major purchases, signing authority, and all matters related to SADD Saskatchewan as a non-profit corporation.

It consists of the Provincial Executive plus 3–5 Student Directors and 2–4 Community Directors.

Board of Representatives

The Board of Representatives is responsible for selecting dates and programming for provincial conferences and providing direction on policy initiatives and lobbying efforts.

It consists of the Provincial Executive plus 13 District Representatives (one per district) and 2–4 Adult Advisors. All communications for District Reps should be directed to sadd@sasktel.net.

There is a complete list of all schools and their districts in your Chapter Manual or on the Provincial Districts page. If no rep is listed for your district, consider becoming one — elections take place at the provincial conference each year.

Board nominations open ahead of each Provincial Conference. Students from registered chapters are eligible to nominate themselves or a peer. Contact the provincial office for a nomination form or for more information about any position.

Board Elections

SADD Saskatchewan holds elections for the Provincial Executive, Board of Directors, and Board of Representatives at the Annual Provincial Conference. Here's everything you need to know about running for a position.

Eligibility

Only students from a registered SADD Chapter are eligible for board positions.

Complete a Nomination Form

To be nominated for any position, a nomination form must be completed and signed by at least 10 members of a registered SADD Chapter.

Submit by the Deadline

Nomination forms must be submitted to the Provincial Office by 4:30 p.m. on the day the Provincial Conference begins. Forms may be submitted by mail or fax — keep a copy for your records.

Address the Delegates

All candidates are introduced at the conference and given a brief opportunity to address delegates before voting begins.

Secret Ballot Election

Elections for any contested position take place by secret ballot. Candidates are also invited to post their photo and a message on the SADD Saskatchewan website ahead of the conference.

Vacant Positions

Nominations will be accepted at the conference for any positions that remain vacant after the pre-conference nomination deadline.

Meeting Schedule
  • The Board of Directors meets at least 3 times per year.
  • The Board of Representatives meets at least 4 times per year.
  • Most meetings are joint meetings of both Boards.
  • Meetings are typically held on a Sunday afternoon in Regina. Location may vary depending on the composition of the board.
  • SADD reimburses board members for the cost of attending meetings.

Our provincial organization is governed by two Boards. Provincial Executive members sit on both.

  • Main responsibility is to assist the President fulfill his/her duties
  • One year term
  • Should be at least 18 years of age by October 15
  • Must attend a total of 3 meetings throughout the year
  • Assists with the financial decisions for SADD Saskatchewan
  • One year term — one position per district
  • Must attend a total of 4 meetings throughout the year
  • Serves as a liaison between the SADD Provincial Board and the chapters in their district
  • Must live in the district they represent or an adjacent district (as of the 2011 Provincial Conference)
